I have a 70 Satellite and just got a Superbird clone kit and fenders from Stinger. I was wondering if anyone has measurements for rear wing placement. I know the deck lid has to clear when opened but beyond that I am not finding anything but 8.5 inches from the rear edge of the quarter and centered. Thanks!

Deck lid does not have to clear the wing (although it probably will) as they welded stops on the hinge brackets to stop it below the wings. I can measure mine if you like, but not going to get anything much more than a distance from the rear as well. About all you can go by as your repro may not match OE for bolt locations.

The deck lid will clear using the 8.5” dimension.

Thanks to all who replied! I have a LONG way to go on this but I felt if the wing was on, it would give me inspiration to press on. I am picking away at it now but retire in about 2 years and will get serious.

Hi Satellbirdbrain,
I'm doing the same thing just a few steps ahead of you. And I did just that, installed the wing for motivation. I spoke with a knowledgable person at http://www.performancecargraphics.com. Unfortunately I can't recall his name right now, but every time I've called he has been the one who's answered. He sent me templates for the locations. Here's a photo of my project.
Because he was so nice and helpfull, I'll be ordering more parts from him as he has quite abit for your build.

It might be the angle or the template you used was wrong. It looks like the wing is mounted too far forward?

Probably is from what I can see with mine, exact measurement is 8 1/2" from tip of base to end of quarter panel less extension.
