Went to the San Diego Antique Drags at Barona 1/8 mile last Saturday and got in some good runs.

I hadn't driven the car since the last time I raced there in December. The car has just been sitting in the garage. All I did was charge the battery, air up the tires and drive the 50 or so miles out there with my 15 year-old son riding shotgun. We had a good time.

Nice  Barona's a cool little track.
So coming from Vista did you take the 78 or the 67? I'm sure you didn't come up Wildcat...
With that elevation change from Vista to Barona is at least 600-700 ft. are you running a carb or EFI?

I ask because when I lived in Vista my Charger was unhappy up in Ramona, ran fat so I was into the jet box for 1 step down sometimes 2 depending...

I take the 15 to Scripps Poway Parkway to the 67 to Wildcat Canyon. The roads are even twistier going through Ramona to the 78.

I'm running an 850 Holley DP. The elevation at Barona is 1700 feet but the DA is usually anywhere from 2000' to 4000' depending on the weather that day. Elevation where I live in the foothills part of unincorporated Vista is about 600 feet. I haven't noticed the car running much different at Barona other than I get better times on cooler days with lower DA.

I will post a link to pictures as soon as the track photographer puts it up.
