Anyone using these angle plug heads on a 440 with Mopar RT Magnum exhaust maniflods? Any fitment issues? They have 75cc chambers. This motor currently has a set of Mopar 452 heads. Would the Eddys be a performance upgrade? Whaddaya think?

Are you currently running the factory 452 iron head, or the Mopar Performance 452 aluminum head?

I run the E Street Heads 75cc on my 1971 383/432 Stroker with factory HP exhaust manifolds

Zero issues with spark plugs and wires

A - What pistons are in the motor now , flat tops or ? When you pull the heads measure how deep they are in the block at TDC

B - What camshaft are you running ?

Bee1971. Thanks for the response. Plug clearance was my main concern. The build sheet I got from the PO says the deck height is .019, pistons are 7cc (dish?), gasket .039 in. head CC 87.5. Compression is 9.387. The cam is not listed in my documentation but is obviously mild and I am told it is a "1970 440 Magnum cam". Do you have any idea how much compression increase would result in using these 75cc heads? I am cruising, not racing and want to run pump gas.

Need your bore size..assuming a std 4.32 bore you're about 9.25, just changing to 75cc heads bumps it to 10.3....these are approximate but will be close. Might be a tad high for today's pump gas with the magnum cam, the aluminum will help some but if you're just cruising why push it? They definitely give a performance increase, but why not save up a few more pennies and get the RPM with 84cc...
 
Thanks Beanhead! The bore is .030 over, 4.35 and change. I have read about great improvement with modern heads. I just bought the car and I am pretty confident it has a burnt valve on #7. I was thinking if I am going to do the top that it may be worth stepping up to aluminum. My paperwork says the heads are "ported" how much I dont know. I wont go with 75 cc chambers, too close to detonation problems for me. If I do it I'll go with the bigger chambers, but I am wondering if my seat of the pants dyno would register the difference? Thanks for everyones help!
 
Unless your iron heads were ported quite a bit (and properly!) and they were upgraded with bigger valves(2.14 intake/1.81 exhaust on the RPM heads) I'd almost guarantee you'll feel the difference..good call on the chamber size. A CR of over 10 is done all the time on street engines BUT they usually have hotter cams that close the intake valve later in the stroke.
 
Just a FYI.......
In case you weren’t aware, the 84cc E Streets have straight plugs.
