After shipping my 66 Coronet to Denmark and shipping my 65 Belvedere to New Jersey I feel separation complex.
No Mopar car in my shop.....
I read all the posts on Racers hangouts to help with my withdrawal problems and it does help.
I also replay my Go Pro and You Tube videos of my 66 Coronet making 1/4 mile runs and that helps also...
I am in the process right now of trying to buy a 68 Dart....hope it goes thru....I am waiting on the seller to accept the highest price I can pay for the car.
Will report as soon as I find out.

Had no idea you sold the 65 too.I feel your pain. I watch allot of You Tube videos. Keep thinking I'll get back to the track again. Got the car,Truck & trailer and all the goodies to go with... For some reason life keeps getting in the way...

Believe me I know the feeling after selling my 68. It’s the pits. But at least you have one on deck hopefully. Good luck with the purchase

68 Darts, you could pick a worse horse to play with...

Hey Mike I'll keep an eye out for that 65, NJ is a pretty small state!

Hopefully you got top-Dollar for those beautiful cars you built and raced!
Now you can look back on all of the fun (and aggravation) you had building
them and know that someone will be enjoying them for many years to come.
Now for the future. Sounds like you have a plan for a new ride and by now
you probably have a good idea exactly what you want to do to it. Have fun,
and remember, Don't Forget The Pic's! Good luck in your new endeavor.

Mike,
I sent you a PM. Man, you have to link to a post or thread or tell me what to search for...I have got to know more about the 6bbl engine!

what the hell happened to the 65 ?
I thought you loved it ?
it was a nice 'looking' car, from the photos anyway

that was a quick turnaround

hopefully the 68 Dart will be what you want

is it the same one you were gonna' buy ?,
incomplete white (IIRC) roller (?)
a bit before you went with the 65 ? after you sold the 66

should be a nice lighter car

good luck

Sold the 65 Belvedere to a Racer in New Jersey. He has a Ray Barton big Hemi for it to racing in the high 8 second category.
Today I bought a 1968 Dart. Not the white dart that I was looking a before. Will be delivered to me middle of next week.
Will post info and pictures then.
It is a dedicated drag race car, not a street legal car. Dana, 12 point cage, motor plate, Mustang II front suspension, Pro Trans Transmission with billet drum, sprag and trans brake..etc, etc.

We can’t wait til next week??!??!! At least tell us what motor is in it....:

Nothing really special. A 440, .030 over for 446". UltraDyne Solid Lifter cam, Ported Iron Heads with Crane Rockers, Manton Pushrods, Scat Crank, Scat H-Beam rods, 12-1 Ross Pistons, Edelbrock 440 Victor Single Plane intake with 750 Holley, MSD, Hooker 2" fender well headers. 8 Quart oil Pan. Just a real solid and long lasting motor. Runs mid 10's. 4500 converter/ Pro Trans tranny with steel billet drum, bolt in super sprag, Rollerized rear support, trans brake.
Narrowed 4.10 Dana with Spool, 15x12 rear wheels...plus other stuff.
The picture shown has been photo shopped to take the old owners name off of the side of the car. I will peel off these old vinyl graphics when I get the car next week.

Mr. Gaines. Perhaps the pink slip race might be back on again. :)

My high school sweetheart had a 68' Dart when we dated back in the mid eighties . Every time I see one it takes me back to then and stirs up those old feelings and I wonder what ever happened to her .Man, I miss that car.

Won't happen Mike....I have officially quit chasing lower ET's at a cost of thousands of dollars for every 10th, it seems. (LOL, can't believe I am saying that)
This is a mid-10 second car with a very solid setup that could last a very long time with very little trouble...I am going to enjoy it.

Good choice.
Run consistent and have fun Mike.
Your rear wheel openings would be easy to straighten out too, seeing the picture that you posted.
When do you take possession Mike?
