Who makes a hei male distributor cap for a stock electronic distributor Big Block? Part numbers would help and a photo if you have one. Thanks

You can run any cap unless you need the “coil in cap””. Not sure what your looking for.

I think he was asking about the male ends on the cap like the Magnum small blocks use.

i think he wants you to look up part number and give it to him . you know how hard it to find that info.
I am asking if anyone has put a hei cap on a stock bb distributor. The one with the male hei terminals. If they did where did you get the cap. I found one from Summit! just want to now if there are other choices.

You don't need to use the cap with the male prongs. Nothing special about that cap. If you do you need to change wires to match. Summit would be the place to buy.

Notes:These are replacements for Summit distributors with part numbers: SUM-850027, 850028, 850080-1, 850082-1, 850420 and 850421. These will also fit OEM Mopar V8 distributors, SUM-850003, 850003-1, 850004, 850004-1, 850005 and 850005-1 distributors, converting to a male/HEI style terminal.

brought this one back while researching options, I picked up some Firecore wires a while back for my 440 and a cap like the one in the Summit catalog, but through Customwiresets.com. Works fine, but a few races ago my car stumbled a little at the 2-3 shift on the track. Back in the pits I found one of the distributor's holddown clips was not seated. This past weekend I again had a stumble in 3rd and back in the pits found the cap wobbles as if it pivots on the point where the cap locator tab projects up and a point 180deg from there. Brought out my spare distributor and a couple of standard Mopar style caps, each of which locks down solid on both distributors. Since the HEI-terminal cap wobbles on both distributors I'll be giving it a closer exam this week to find where it is lacking a solid seat---at first look it seems the cap has a much thinner inner ledge that mates to the distributor surface, and while the cap didn't look to be hanging up on the locator tab, that definitely feels like the point from which it wobbles.
