Classic Industries promotions are damn joke. I’ve been wanting and waiting to buy new headrest. Right now, they have a promotion that if you spend over $229 you get 30% off. The headrest I want are $360. I add the promo code get a woping $18 and the total comes to $389 with shipping etc ? That’s not 30%. The promotions are absolutely worthless. All Classic Industries does is attract your business by supposedly give you a promotional discount, which doesn’t equal the amount they falsely advertise. Turn around and charge you 3 times more for an item to ship, than what it actually cost. Do they really think people are that stupid ? Rant over

I always found better deals elsewhere...
360.00-30%= 252.00 in my book but my math could be wrong...

The only time I use CI, is if I absolutely can't find what I'm looking for anywhere else.

I’ve used them many times. I’ve had good luck but I think they’re based just down the freeway from me. Never used a promo but like Year One I do find they gouge on the shipping. Year One is enemy number one in my book for similar reasons.

You have to do this when you deal with their ridiculous shipping rates:carrot:.....

Wife ordered some stuff for my 71 Cuda years ago and spent a good pile of money....and YO wouldn't even throw in a catalog. They never got another order from us.....

I have never used Classic Industry's. Year One shipping is about the same. I haven't used them in over 25 years. Now that eBay charges tax and figures shipping for the seller, that is ridiculous. As I know where most of the sellers of the good reproduction products are and their name, I pick up my phone and call them directly. I save tax and get reduced shipping with multiple items.

I've found GMPARTSDIRCT to be the same. They advertise lower prices than anyone else, then make up the difference on shipping. I don't use them anymore. I HATE deceptive advertising!

Couldn’t agree more. I understand that people have to make money. But, don’t insult my intelligence, time or effort to deal with you. Be a company or seller with integrity. Give what you advertise to give or don’t advertise promotions at all and charge people accurately for shipping. They will charge you $40 to ship a radio knob half way across the country. I’ve spent a lot of money through them the past several years on two separate cars. I’m done, based on bs. Who else sells the headrest ?

Gee, it sounds a lot like asking an American Ebayer to ship something to Canada ... they think its a license to print money !! Guess they don't realize we have access to every shipping website and know what shipping should cost.

Most discounts offered by Classic Ind. and others say "up to 30% off" or whatever the discount is at the time.

It's per item and never the full 30%. Click bait ads. Sheesh!

I ordered a heap of stuff 25 years ago....and got free catalogs....one of every single one they had - like around 20 of them. FREE catalogs....but the freight killed the excitement.

I understand. But, it’s never in the amount they advertise. It’s false baiting. They give you $15 bucks off, charge you $40 for shipping a steering wheel emblem. They are better off. Just selling a said item like headrest for a listed price of $360 and offering free shipping. They try to bait with false advertising. They don’t understand that you’re just pissing people off with that phony tactic. Then you charge them as if no discount of the smallest degree was ever given.

I had a customer say the same thing. Thing is this, I have NEVER paid for a catalog since starting to use them back in '85ish. I called up a few years ago, and asked for a catalog. They sent me catalog R1110 for free, and I got the CD catalog free too. They (and others) have said I had to pay for it, and I said that I would have to take my business elsewhere then...

Yeah, it depends who you talk to. If you happen to get a female. Seems they are more likely to try to make someone happy. Guys are often dickheads, ha ha

Or they have a list of not included products at the bottom. I fell for that once with YR1. thought hey 30 % off and turns out the only thing the damn coupon was good for was sheet metal screws.
