Cragar Super Tricks...where are they?

Sorry my friend....those wheels ARE NOT CRAGAR SUPER TRICKS.
They are the FENTON R/T on piece cast aluminum wheels with 15 bolts inserted thru 15 holes in the one piece cast aluminum wheel.
They were manufactured to be a streetable version of the Cragar Super Tricks.
I am sure of this because I worked for FENTON at the time. We made a 15x4 (not 15x3.5) to handle a little bigger tire for street use.
NOTE: Scroll up 6 postings to see the picture of the ad that was on Craigs List and reported to be Cragar Super Tricks (but the are not)

I am a Super Trick collector. The best part about them is after you've acquired multiple sets you can mix and match the halves to get the offsets you need for whatever car you wish to put them on. I've even welded the valve stem holes in and turned sets around. I rarely sell any wheels, but willing to trade wheels for wheels if you have anything I need, or buy them out right if anyone has any single pattern 5 on 5".

We did the welded hole thing , reversed the bolts to turn a pair around back in the day --------

@PROSTOCKTOM , i was wandering around a camaro at the drags a few days ago. I know for a fact that this thing has had the polished supertricks it wears, for at least twenty years. I was looking closely at his wheels and i noticed that one front had generic grade eights, one had grade fives ( yeah i wouldn't either), but the rears had rockland(?) grade eights. That rang a bell so i checked my pair of ragedy old fronts, same bolts. Are these oem? Mine sure are rusty. If oem, what coating did the bolts have?

I picked up the polished fronts I was looking for at Carlisle a couple of weeks ago. Next day wet sanded (down to 1500) and buffed them out to come up with the look in the second pic. I took them apart to do this. My wheels have the generic bolts. I have a pair of rears that have stainless, allen-headed cap screws. They look great, but I doubt I'll run them. For the bolts, mine were rusty too. I bead blasted them, then cleared them. Seem to look ok.

I will be running Moroso 7.10 15 drag tires on the 3.5" Super tricks above. Looking for inner tubes for them. Anyone know what i need? Struggling to find them. Tom

Coker Tire has the tubes you need if you want to use tubes. I'm trying tubeless. A little more silicone on the gap.

I'm late to the party but this is my favorite look. Mine are Centerline Draglites that as far as I know are kaput. 294 rear, 235 front. Any tips for cleaning/brightening the old satin? Heard it can be ruined so I leave em alone mostly.

Tom, you could ask @malex what tires he's using and what he did. I think he is running his 'tricks tubeless .
---
I run my front runners tubeless. I had them apart, cleaned, reassembled and a nice coat of permatex silicone all the way around. No problems at all.

My rear SuperTricks are the wrong offset. Bought them, had them shipped, of course the advertised back space was wrong. The picture shows, could have used another 2" BS.

I use Spray 9 cleaner to keep my Super Tricks clean. They are not meant to be shiny and if you polish them they will look like crap.

Aluminum brightners will work but they will leave the wheel white looking.

Thank you for the replies. I had the wheels apart to clean and polish. They were already sealed. When I mounted the tires without tubes, they leak down to nothing in a matter of hours. I may pull them back apart this winter and go all the way to 2000 grit to make them really shine. When I do that, I'll re-seal them. Much appreciated the responses.

Malex, what size are you looking for? I may be able to help. PM me if you like. Tom

They are in a bit tight. What size were the rims that were on the car before mounting the Super Tricks?

OLD POST , but I have a pair of 10" wide , 5 on 5 , w/ either a 4 1/2" or 5" backspace , used very little , I need to get rid of.

Bob, Thanks for posting, but I can't use them. Looking for Super Tricks anyway. If 10" wide, I need 5 1/2" back space. Also, 5" bolt pattern won't work for us Mopar guys.

Yup, had a set of 4 15x7's that I bought for a 66 Mustang Fastback that was under construction but they were a little too big for the front with the tires I had on them so they ended up on a 74 Dodge pickup. A few years later they went on to a 70 Challenger after polishing and sold them with the car 18 years later. Left the bolts off because didn't want the extra weight :D

Thot one poster said he wanted 5 on 5 . Maybe not enough coffee-------

I called Bogart Racing Wheels yesterday to ask about their Fly wheels that look like the Super Tricks. $443 per wheel. Ouch. Too much for this guy who usually gets all his wheels from swap meets.

Just got a set of Cragar Super Tricks :D

(15x3.5)

Both are the same but one is drilled for dual bolt patterns and the other is only for a 5x4.5 BBP

Same 125/70r/15 Tires on both
