That's really cool

I think I would have mixed emotions, wanting to put some miles on her after all of the hard work. But sharing the car is self rewarding also. Wow another two years. Your car is really adding up one heck of a portfolio!
Kidd...

You are correct I did have mixed emotions for awhile when it was only a 6 month extension. The a week ago the museum wanted it for 2 additional years. I had a few friends and Mr Plowman here educate me a bit more on the importance of having it there rather than under a cover in my garage for over 10 months a year.....I put myself aside and deemed it was more important for people to enjoy it rather than driving it once in a blue moon....

It surely is getting some serious recognition.......This forum paved the way......That led me to Gary and in turn brought Gilmore.....Then MCACN gave it the ultimate exposure......

Wow what cascade of honors you and the car are receiving. It’s pretty cool to see the recognition that kind of effort/outcome is getting. Well deserved....
Getx'd

Thank you for the compliments:thumbsup:

I wanted to prove a couple things with my pops X.....Number one was to build a car as perfect as my dad was....Second, the "little guy" a no name in the restoration world on limited space, working full time and on call and with limited tools CAN build a car in that environment to compete with the big dollar restoration outfits!

It is hard to beat a restoration that was built on Love and Respect.......

Justin, you deserve this and all the attention you and your car are getting. Well gone my friend, this is just deserts for all the hard work and dedication you bring to the hobby. I can’t wait to see your car in person. For anybody out there who needs motivation to finish their project to the highest standard possible, look no further than Justin and his wonderful GTX.
Jason

Great to see you arounds these parts! Thank you for the kind words!

MCACN opened many doors and I have to get a great special thanks to Bob Ashton....His show and the network included is so vast and outreaching. I have been to a lot of the big Mopar events with my cars and have never experienced what I am currently now.....If anyone gets the chance to take a car there, do not second guess that!....If not taking a car then go to the show and support a show that supports EVERYONE, "little guys" included it is no joke....

Before choosing MCACN the front runner was Carlisle. I have been to Carlisle many times and they have the certified OE judging. Then I was put on to MCACN by Darrin Stanke and Richard O'Shields, @Big D A12 and @69bfan and they steered me towards MCACN and I personally thank both of them for the advice and push to go there....It was the PERFECT choice!

Congrats Justin!!! I guess now I have to stay alive for 2-1/2 yrs for my promised ride, lol.

Justin, congrats on the X being chosen to represent MCACN as the 1:18 scale model this year. I will say it again, passion builds an OE car, not an hourly rate. Well done!

Well put! It is the passion that builds them......Again, thank you for all the help you provide with my build!

Very well deserved recognition for your awesome car Justin. I think the die cast model is just icing on the cake and waaay cool. You have to be getting separation anxiety though, aren't you? I don't recollect if you have another old ride to putt around in while this one is on display?
