New car oil change info ??????

I have 6k on my oil right now and I drained my catch can and checked the level. The oil looks pretty good still. Another 1k and I will change it.

What's an oil change?
The Dakota has a bad plenum gasket so I add a quart now and then.

Some of mine is probably getting close to 10. When I open a bottle, I see what looks like sediment in the bottom. Some actual sediment or part of the additives package settling out? Anyways, I give them a good shaking thinking it's more additives since it's seems to be more of a syrup looking thing.

with my 2018 Ram 1500 I ordered the full owner's manual that has more pages and info than the one that came with the truck and when looking up engine oil it does give max time and mileage 10,000 miles or 12 months
I change more than that worsts was 27%

My Cherokee manual does not even have the "do not exceed 10k miles" warning in it! I typically change around 6k on all of my vehicles and that is what I will do here. Just amazed at how something like that , oil mileage, is not actually printed any longer.
As for towing the Trailhawk, FCA developed a system into their auto transmissions that eliminate all the hassle to flat tow. It is only in the "Active drive II" transmissions so all Jeep vehicles do NOT automatically come with that feature. I can hook up and switch to flat tow ion about 10 minutes, that includes the physical attachments as well.

I also found it listed with one more limit in write up for scheduled servicing
so 10,000 miles 12 months or 350 hours if you idle lots
FCA does make some stuff hard to find

I change every 10,000 miles and drive aprox 600 miles a week. Its an 09 Toyota corolla, when it blows ill buy another.
