Can anyone help me determine the build date of my car? I tried an online decoder but it told me I have a Polara lol
I assume you have a 1968 model, as the fender tag has the SON and does not have the complete VIN on it. so 2/26 of 1968 was the projected build date.
all my 69 tags (4) have the vin on the bottom right of the tag. did not ever see one at the top.Top right 9A tells us year and plant, 2 digit paint and vinyl top codes are 69 only.
This is not a 1968 fender tag, they had a completely different layout.
Then none of your cars were built on the Lynch Road line.all my 69 tags (4) have the vin on the bottom right of the tag. did not ever see one at the top.
And cars were not built in vin order. The day after mine and 671 cars ! But take note, my engine wasn't built until Feb 28th, so it was a "scheduled" build date.. not actual.

It is a '69 Lynch Road tag. Take the WP23 from the bottom left and add to the 9A... at the top right and there's your VIN
The various assy plants had different layouts for their fender tags. That one is typical of lynch road. Yours must be from other assy plants.all my 69 tags (4) have the vin on the bottom right of the tag. did not ever see one at the top.
Is your car a Canada car? I see no code for the Engine on yours. The day after mine and 671 cars ! But take note, my engine wasn't built until Feb 28th, so it was a "scheduled" build date.. not actual.

I got that, but every one I own has the complete VIN on the tag just like the dash, as well as the engine and trans code. I only mentioned it as I have not seen a tag without the complete vin on a 69.And the 925 says 383 four barrel, manual trans, heater, 335 hp, painted orange.
