Do you have a Retrosound head unit?

Yes. I eventually want a Retrosound unit, just not sure what the cutout size is and if i have to have the factory bezel to make it look nice. I'm in no hurry though. Probably order the dash speaker this weekend and see how it sounds with just that. I would think it would be better than my Bluetooth under the dash.

Got the Retro Sound dash speaker. Sounds pretty good even with my cheap head unit. Going to see if i can find a little two channel amp for it though and still considering the underseat speakers.

I made up some under seat boxes for my system after installing the new rear panels and not pleased as the aux speakers sound wimpy - they always did but on further putzing there's a distinct problem with juice to the speakers and not up enough on what could be done about this. Assumed my Hermosa system had the 'its' to handle. Any tips great!

Ron,
See what the RMS rating is on your speakers and head unit. For best results, you want head unit to provide as close to speaker rating as possible without going over (usually head units are fairly low compared to speaker rating). There are other factors involved, but if you choose to add a small amp this would be a good place to start.

Thanks - will check on this.

I was supposed to get you a pic, sorry got neck deep trying to get mine finished.
Anyway here is the unit, infinite colors and sounds great. Now I only had the two 3.5" speakers in the center dash slot wired and they blew me away with just the power supplied by the head unit.
Getting back to the speakers they are 3.5" Kicker CS series...incredible sound and even had bass which surprised me. Cant wait to fire up the 6.5 and 6x9s.

Nice! I'm considering a small amp for my 4x10 dash speaker. My cheap head unit is very low on power.

Like I said I'm impressed with the power output. I do doubt you would need it with the 4x7. This thing was impressive all by itself and the 2 -3.5" kickers.
