So i stopped at Wendys for a late lunch. I walked in & noticed i was the only one in the dining room. I stood by the counter. While waiting, i noticed the employees behind the counter. One had no mask. One on fries had his on below his nose. One on burgers had his on his neck. One with a mask on correctly, came to take my order. The first thing he said is, you have to have a mask. To which i replied, really. I guess your staff hasn't heard. If youre going to enforce the rules, you should start with your own employees. Apparently he didn't like being corrected, as the fries he put in my container were few. I asked for the mgr. I pointed out the fries, which he corrected. Then told him about the mask ordeal. To which him, and another employee both started rebutting, telling me they ALL had respiratory issues.. I blew it off, and sat down to eat. Another employee, who had been outside smoking, came in and ordered food, ( no warning given) & no mask. Then sat in the dining room to eat. Really ?

Yep;
it's more like;
do as I say & not as I do, mentality

freaken' hypocrites

at least they are open, I do commend them for that

albeit;
I don't eat fast food for many reasons
many of which, the people that work there & their habits etc.
many are just rude children with no social skills/ethics
never taught right from wrong or the customer is right
especially in larger shitty's

At our shop........ Its just me and my step brother. We are both in our 60s. His whole family kids grandkids ect have been going on vacation to every covid hot spot you can think of, Fl, Tx , Az, ect because its cheap , low air fairs and low fees for rooms. One of the grandaughters in South America , Uraguay ?
Meanwhile my wife is waiting for surgery on the 21st for artery work on her right leg, 20% flow needs fixed soon. Today he informs me his grandson who lives with them and just got back from Fl. must have allergies cause the dumb *** has a sore throat and stayed home from work.
I just said get him tested and left, I dont want to get this crap and pass it to my wife she has had a 4 way bypass 2 yrs back. I cant wait for the rest of his tribe to get back . Ok rant over

Think that Wendy's headquarters are not far from you in Dayton. They are located in Dublin OH. I'd call headquarters...

I was in my local convenience store, standing at the counter being waited on and this guy behind me decides to come around me and stand rather close. He's not wearing a mask, looks a bit crudy, probably in his late 20s. I took one look at him and said " Have you watched any news or read any papers lately?" He looked at me strangely and said "no". I said "Well there's a pandemic going on, haven't you heard? And on top of that you're standing way too close to me whether you suppose to be wearing a mask or not so take a step back and wait your turn."

That's one pet peeve that I have, someone standing too close to me without being invited. I'll give a look when this happens and count to five, then I'll back them up. I hate someone invading my space when in public.

You sound like the guy on the boat at Disneyland on the "Small World ride" .... while rocking the boat reasonably hard, my friend was told by this large 'gentleman' ..... "Hey buddy, you're crowding my Aura!" :D
Everyone on the boat laughed... except for the one guy.

As I understand it a person wears a mask out of respect to the rest of humanity. If the person wearing the mask is Covid positive he or she will be less likely to pass on the disease to others. On the other hand if an infected person does not wear a mask , they can infect others even if others are wearing a mask.
