Minnesota Gold

Battery area mended. Cutting that inner patch was a pain in the butt. Time to grind off the welds, but not too bad.

she’s come a long way. We have lots more to do. Bringing America back, one Mopar at a time.

Its funny how everything goes back together. So many parts painted and cleaned....others were too far gone and replaced.....but she's still 98% 1967.

Got the hood down today for a deep clean .....it was a bitch to get all that carbon off, but Purple Power got it done pretty well.

At the rate you're making progress I'm surprised you're not driving it yet.

Seems that way right? As I've cleaned and repaired...I'm finding out this car is in better shape then I thought. Its not cheap getting OEM metal and bits together.....but now that I'm butting stuff back, its helpful.....but no matter how well I bagged it, and took pics....I'm still hunting for stuff.....lol

Better than originally evaluated is always a nice plus!

So my personal technique for painting motors involves, cleaning, de-greasing...priming and painting, and plugging the sparky holes with rubber plugs....so I forgot to pull the plugs when let her dry up and decided to hand turn her over. Needless to say, she's got great compression, and by the second full revolution those plugs shot out like a spud-gun. About crapped my pants when they let go.

Ok, got the tranny pan off for a peek at the 40 plus year sit, and it’s rather surprising....
