Wow great post so far thank you keep them comingIts funny how everything goes back together. So many parts painted and cleaned....others were too far gone and replaced.....but she's still 98% 1967.
Seems that way right? As I've cleaned and repaired...I'm finding out this car is in better shape then I thought. Its not cheap getting OEM metal and bits together.....but now that I'm butting stuff back, its helpful.....but no matter how well I bagged it, and took pics....I'm still hunting for stuff.....lolAt the rate you're making progress I'm surprised you're not driving it yet.
So my personal technique for painting motors involves, cleaning, de-greasing...priming and painting, and plugging the sparky holes with rubber plugs....so I forgot to pull the plugs when let her dry up and decided to hand turn her over. Needless to say, she's got great compression, and by the second full revolution those plugs shot out like a spud-gun. About crapped my pants when they let go.
What model Lincoln are you using? I am looking to maybe get one this year and try my hand on the GTX.Took a stab at fabrication on the drop down filler panel .... turned out pretty well.
