Was there something wrong with the old shock pins?
Yah they both broke off, even with the heat wrench.

..and neat that my cheap spot welder arrived on Purolator about 10 minutes after I noticed that the right fender to headlight bucket's spot weld had let go. Can just get this unit up in there to weld it.

That's sweet!! Good for you!!

Always thought it would be handy to have a spot welder when working on these old cars. The arms are short, but still quite a bit a guy could use it for.

I have the same one Wayne works nicely. I see they are selling the 220 version again. How long for shipping Wayne? Couple of days??

Was almost a week before it was "shipped".. but that was a Saturday.. long weekend and then Purolator didn't pick it up unti Wednesday night. Depot fawked me around and delivered Monday. So two full weeks..

Pretty easy to make your own longer arms for the cost of some bar stock..

I have never seen anyone replace just the shock studs in those before.

Been jumping around like a pogo stick the past week from project to project, but think I'm back on track..
