Replaced my lower control armb bushings because one was bad and running metal to metal so decided to replace both but when I adjust the height of the car one adjustment bolt is higher that the other ? see pics

is this normal or did I do something wrong ?
I made sure the pivot bolts and torsion bars all went in and locked in place as far as ant parts joined together

is there something else I should look for ? Should I way for it to sit down ? Or drive it then check again ?
I have not road tested the car and also put new shocks in

I would get it on the ground and measure. Drive the car and see what it does. Both identical is not a requirement but it should be close on each side.
New shocks should not hold the car up.

Why were you the first to mention shocks?

Just a guess, but did you clock your torsion bars correctly or just put them where they slid in easily. The only other thing that I can think of is a very weak torsion bar on one side.

I don’t follow?
The last sentence was something about shocks. I thought he said he put new shocks on.
Yes I did not see that. But think he was questioning the need for new shocks. But I agree shock are not springs unless they have coil assist. But why would one do that and get bashed here?

The last sentence was ‘...lot new shocks in’. I thought it meant he had new shocks. Some people have posted in the past, not in this thread, that shocks alter the ride height. I was simply stating that shocks should not aid in holding the car up, meaning the torsion bar adjustment should not be a reflection of ‘new shocks’. I’m sorry if you think that was bashing him but I assure it was not the intention. I read my post #2 back and I’m not seeing anything other than hopefully constructive advice - shocks should not be a factor in your torsion bar adjustments.

I mean I installed new shocks too

hmm how can I tell if the car isn’t clocked in right ? I mean it did slide in without any problems

I have to agree with you. Just chalk it up to someone poor use of grammar or lack of interpretation of it.

Did you pull the torsion bars out? If so, you need to remove the bumpers to put them back in, that would be considered "0" as far as installing torsion bars

I did remove them I just slid them out of the control arm and then slid them back in. They did spin a few times to for but I didn’t remove them completely

Someone else can chime in, but I believe you can't do it that way. I did that one time, and had to remove it, and remove the bumper and reinstall

It is highly UNlilkely that the hex is clocked wrong if the adjuster screw is only off by a few turns. When I have installed a bar out of proper index, either the adjuster screw hangs below the control arm by large amount or the screw is cranked in until it is almost bottomed out.

Check your torsion bar cross member sockets. Make sure one of them hasn't started to let go and has spun a tad.

Glad this thread came along when it did, putting torsion bars in this weekend

how would I know if it’s clocked wrong ? is it possible that maybe since I rotated it to install it that maybe put the bar in a different side with less wear so that’s why it’s higher? I took these to see if they help

Are both adjusting bolts the exact same length? There are some out there that are longer. I would also ditch those washers on the shock bolts, use a smaller one or no washer so when you torque the bolt it exerts maximum pressure right on the shock sleeve....many mystery front end chunks caused by that, and the fact so many shocks no longer have serrated ends on the sleeves.

You have to drop the suspension as far as it will go, with the bumper stops removed. Your bars are not clocked simultaneously.

It's pretty hard to get a bar off by 60* guys, you'd have to install one with the LCA adjuster lever as far up as it could go to get them that far off.
