Did I miss what happened to the old bullet?

1964 361 original 2 barrel to a 1970 383 HP, fresh 516 heads .020 head gaskets giving about 9.4:1 compression, magnum cam with heaver springs, larger SS valves, Edelbrock Performer intake with a 650 Edelbrock AFB, HP exhaust manifolds with 2” exhaust.
Should be quite a change……..

while doing maintenance I found that the guides and seals were bad, head gasket on the right side was leaking, PO had run straight water causing severe corrosion internally, rear seal looks like it’s been leaking for years. I felt that with the chance I was given to pick up a low mileage 383 with fresh heads it made more sense than rebuilding the 361.

These two guys could have stayed home today and relaxed but instead they drove down to help me, this is what makes this site what it is.

it is power though, almost as good.

Not really, the idea of a dual master cylinder is to have a split system where two lines feed your brake system, front on one line and rear on another line. Power brakes or standard makes no difference if you have a brake line rust through and burst you end up with a safety situation.
