Mine came with a solid 4 blade and shroud! Could have been changed early on!

Totally guesswork, upper fan shroud and 5-blade direct-drive fan. Waiting for the real experts. The current gas doesn't help with throwing off the BYU's.

7 blade with clutch. Thermostat type. 2121013. 18” could use the easier to find 2585376 it’s 18.5”, also 7 blade.

This is the correct METAL shroud..Van's had them for $245.00 shipped on Ebay.

You have to have a radiator with slots in side straps to accept mounting brackets for this. Not all 22" rad's had these.
thanx to all-after checking my radiator part no. 2524983 it is not original-68 coronet with no slots for brackets. so maybe go with thermo clutch and 7 blade 18 or 18.5 fan.

Do you have a picture of the radiator with the slots? Thanks

Ok thanks
Here are pictures of my radiator with slots for metal shroud attachment on side straps. Brackets slip into upper and lower slots, nothing goes in middle slots. The square holes should have a nut-sert in them, but mine have fallen out over time. I found that by inserting brackets in radiator side straps and then bolting to metal shroud, it stays in place just fine. I took picture of brackets as well. Could not find a number on radiator. It may have been on an attached tag under AB?

Thanks for the pictures.... doesn't appear that the spare radiator I have is a 64. I'm currently running a 22" Griffin Radiator with dual electric fans but I want to go to a clutch fan set up... unfortunately the Griffin is too thick so I'll have to sell it and get a thinner one.

October issue of Mopar Action magazine has a question in their Tech Topics section about a thin thermostat fan clutch. Hayden # 2947 available at Rockauto. Hope this helps.

I did see the article.... the 2947 is 2.67" tall (thick) but I only have 2.5" of clearance between the water pump snout and the radiator. I've been chasing high water temps for about 4 years now.... you name it and I've probably tried it. But I did something yesterday that kind of brings it full circle. I have an old 18" mechanical fan laying around so I took the 2 electric Spal fans off of the Griffin radiator I'm running and put the mechanical fan on but I don't have a shroud. Went out for a drive and the temp was a solid 160 - 165. The best I could do with the dual electric fans was 205 - 210. WTF.... so I took the mechanical fan off put the 2 electric fans back on, went out for a drive again and back to 205. The electric fans come on at 180 and don't shut off until 160 so basically they're on all the time which I think acts as an air block when driving. I'll be putting the mechanical fan back on and try to figure out which shroud to retrofit to the Griffin Radiator.

I run a factory flex fan on my '64 Polara. I think it came off an '80's Fifth Ave. I have had problems with clutch fans in the past, and avoid them.
