My 69 Coronet project

That is the hard part about putting them on. I use a bondo spreader, a hard rubber squeegee and a plastic windshield tool when I do stickers. They can be very frustrating. You took your time and did the best you could. It'll turn out fine. I like how you did your measurements.

Thank you. I used bondo spreaders too; came in a three pak of different sizes which worked out well. The smallest size was able to get into the curves around the bezel.

I sure wish the Plymouths had some sort of trunk stripe like that. The Dodges with the stripe look SOOO much better.

I've seen a few '68-'70 Plymouth B Bodies with a rump stripe, and the nicest thing I can say is they don't look right.

You need to see my car close up and you wouldn't say that. Yours is done way better my friend. Looks superb.

BTW, the stripe on mine was done by previous owner just the way you did yours. I think mine has a sating finish.

Funny you ask because this weekend my wife and I put a To Do list on a big white board of all the things we still need to do on our cars.
For the Coronet:
- Rebuild the power steering pump (its leaks a little)
- Fix a small dent in the left fender and attach the R/T emblem to the trunk lid
- I have 4 chrome wheel opening trim pieces I want to put on and see if I like the look.
- Speedo just recently stopped working. Gauge has been refurbished so I'm thinking its the cable.
- Eventually finish plumbing the aftermarket a/c.

I agree. My Coronet was originally a T7 but for me it was too dark a brown to replicate so I went with the 2013 Challenger color Toxic Orange.

I'm almost there. The leaky p/s pump bugs me and I see the divot in the fender every time I get into the car so those two have to be fixed.

No matter how nice it is, some people never consider the car finished.
My red car is far from perfect but it is functional and performs well. There is always some little thing to change or improve.
Some people enjoy the finished product. Other guys like the whole journey.

So true! I love that my car is at the point where I can fire it up and go drive it any old time, but I also like the project planning, the junkyard and swapmeet hunts...always having something "on the list". Keeps it interesting.

I haven't seen mine since I swapped it with my son-in-law for Uncle Bill's 70 Cuda I named Rusty. I don't have the money or skills to finish him. I'm just restoring/repairing the mechanical and electrical stuff. The kids will have to finish it. I'm just going to drive it.
