1964 Dodge 440

Well "Happy Little Camper" certainly DOESN'T describe my mood right now! Ding'd for brokerage and 13% tax on this thing and it's not even mine, explains the tracking # change. Should be fun trying to get it back to California and who knows where the fawk mine went... No email reply and not answering his phone. Hope the 80+ year old didn't croak! It WAS packed well though... FFS...

What the hell. That was supposed to be your 64 rear bumper? Unbelievable and I feel your pain.

YEP, appears a little shipping label SNAFU and not gonna be fun I'm sure straightening this mess out. Don't even know how much UPS nailed me for on Brokerage while collecting the 13% on value, as the sneaky buggers just mail you the bill a month later these days...

Well that really SUCKS. 80 year old senile old fart. How do treat the fees on return and replace items, you pay twice?:monkeyleft::mad: Dam I'm in shouting distance of 80.

If we get lucky.. the tracking number I was given has never been picked up! Hopefully that's my bumper. The one I have here can go back... but he's paying so that I can print a friggin UPS label, I'm not shelling out another $250US. As for taxes and brokerage, hopefully he still has my bumper, changes the paperwork to "warranty replacement no value" and I'll eat the damn brokerage charge just to get the correct bumper. It was the ONLY one I found with endless searching. Now if I could just find him...

Man oh man! That is what nightmares are made of. It's bad enough when this happens on a $100.00 purchase, but when you add another "0" to it, it's a disaster. I truly hope this ends up working out OK for you.

What makes this much worse is that when parts hit the border they pull out this big damn $$ reamer and the guy on the north side gets it full bore. Let’s hope it ends up just being a swap without any additional expense.

Have a look at the back of the bumper you got and see if it is one piece, or has been made up of pieces of various bumpers. There is a rechroming business from California that attends some of the big eastern Mopar swap meets, and I have heard bad things about them. I had a company in Tennessee (Triple H ?)supply a rechromed front bumper to the Mopar Nats for my '67 R/T about 6 years ago. I think it was $400.00 plus a core that I picked up in the swap area for another $125.00. I was very happy with their product.

Man that sucks Wayne. And here I thought I was the only one that had $hit like that happen. That's going to be costly for someone to rectify, can't imagine why you would be on the hook for any of it.

My bumper MIGHT be in North Dakota. He asked me if that was close and if I could just drive over to get it if I was close.. LOL

Says he'll have a solution tomorrow. He called the guys in North Dakota and the young lad said the bumper looked really nice... meaning they've unwrapped it, but the actual owner wasn't there to know if they did or didn't get the correct bumper. If they have mine they'd better wrap it back up as secure as the got it before the resend, as I didn't even pull the foam off "theirs" knowing it was wrong as soon as I saw the shape wrapped in foam !

I consult in So Cal every week = Let me know if I can help
you by checking on the guy?
Did you buy it from "Bumper Boys"?

No, old Mike that owned Central Plating. Hopefully he'll call me tomorrow, he was trying to confirm if it was indeed my bumper that's in North Dakota...

Well you do have a bumper as a hostage. Get your money back and and maybe release it.

Any update on locating your bumper?
