Friction modifier for Sure grip

When looking for friction modifier for my clutch type sure grip I found 3 different Mopar ones. 4318060 AB, 4318060 AC and AN 4315060 AD. Does anyone know which I should use?
Also, the gear grease (Valvoline 75w-90) I'm using is fully synthetic and contains friction modifier. Do I even need to add any more?
 
I don't think you need to add more. I've always bought rear end gear lube without friction modified and used the Ford stuff....for no good reason
 
I wouldn’t use synthetic oil in a sure grip rear end. Heard of too many problems of them not working correctly or making noise. They just work great with old school petroleum based 80/90 and ford friction modifier.

I’d call Dr diff and see what he recommends before using synthetic. Since he sells these parts and has most likely dealt with this before.

I agree, just good ol 80-90. And modifier.
 
I miss the smell of the old Chrysler sperm whale SG lube!

Another vote for s#!tcan the synthetic crap, buy some good Dino oil, and add the Motorcraft stuff.
I had a good friend (since passed on) who owned and ran a rearend shop, specializing in hi performance and racing nine inch Fords, but he could work on anything, and did. He set up my 3.91 dapco locker 8 3/4, and a couple spooled nines for me.
He used nothing but torco, and would not use synthetic in ANYTHING unless the customer demanded it, in which case the warrantee was "six seconds, or six feet, whichever came first".His business thrived on his reputation.

And go out and do a bunch of figure 8's in a parking lot to work it in.
 
Bought three bottles from Cas... got 2 Furd and one Spicer. And I'll add to the DON'T put synthetic in that 50 year old sure grip.

I used licks oil with it in it already , 8 1/4 sure grip and 20 000 miles on it going strong
 
When I rebuilt the Dana 70 in my 3/4 ton pickup a bit over 2 years ago, I put some syn with the additive already in the lube and well, it chattered and the new gears made noise starting at 55 and stopped making noise at 65. Well dayam, that's the speeds I usually run. A buddy of mine gave me the GM recommended gear oil (with the limited slip additive in it) and it's not cheap. I dumped it and went to regular rear end oil and added 2 bottles of the Mopar stuff and the chatter went away and the noise is greatly reduced. Thought I saved the empty additive bottle but can't find it if I did save it so can't post the part number but did use both bottles since the Dana 70 has more capacity. Probably has a bit more than recommended but doesn't seem to be a problem......yet :D

Use a semi synthetic and add the modifier sold at Ford dealers for heavy duty applications
