Sweet! :drinks:

I see a nice, new trunk floor for a 67 GTX!

Now damn it, don't make it nicer than my 70 Road Runner - I'll never hear the end of it from Barry - he'll have such a swelled head...

Watched an AMD video of putting a truck floor in an A body IIRC. The guy said there are two holes (about 1” diameter) in trunk pan that are over the frame rails on each side. He said to insert a mandrel/stub through pan and frame rail to get correct alignment.

Does this work for the 69 B body, and are you guys doing this? My 69 RR is about to get the same treatment as you guys are doing.

Thanks

just follow this thread, it isn't rocket science.......AMD reproduces parts, and they do a fine job........ as far as installation advice, I would steer clear; check out this debacle

Thanks I looked I’ll check it out for reference to see if it’s of any value.

ready for quarters......I see no reason not weld the tail panel to the pan, but it can wait till 1/4's are fitted......and as usual; pan to inner well will be welded last as the height of the 1/4s will dictate the exact placement

I've never seen the need to brace up a hardtop, but I never put a cut up car on a rotisserie either

That's gonna be really nice.

I forget how the outer wheelhouses looked, but did you take the indentation out of them?

I didn't.....we discussed how the 68-70 has a much larger indent, and these wheel houses are very vertical and the indent is much less pronounced...... I scoped it out and determined there isn't much, if anything, to gain....... if the bulging sidewall of the tire is 1/2 inch from the wheel lip, I can't see how the narrower top of the tire would come in contact...... if the wheel lip rubs the sidewall, it might be close, but we obviously won't be rubbing the wheel lip...... if some day, we push the limits with tire size, and the tire leaves a mark, we can simply give it a shot where necessary with a rubber mallet; even then I cannot see needing more than a 1/4 inch as the wheel lip and wheel opening trim appear to be the limiting factor...... also, unlike the 68-70 cars; the shape of the quarter panel is concave. The indent allows clearance for the concave portion of the quarter. There is a little room between the panels in that area, but not much.
