I forget how the outer wheelhouses looked, but did you take the indentation out of them?
I didn't.....we discussed how the 68-70 has a much larger indent, and these wheel houses are very vertical and the indent is much less pronounced...... I scoped it out and determined there isn't much, if anything, to gain....... if the bulging sidewall of the tire is 1/2 inch from the wheel lip, I can't see how the narrower top of the tire would come in contact...... if the wheel lip rubs the sidewall, it might be close, but we obviously won't be rubbing the wheel lip...... if some day, we push the limits with tire size, and the tire leaves a mark, we can simply give it a shot where necessary with a rubber mallet; even then I cannot see needing more than a 1/4 inch as the wheel lip and wheel opening trim appear to be the limiting factor...... also, unlike the 68-70 cars; the shape of the quarter panel is concave. The indent allows clearance for the concave portion of the quarter. There is a little room between the panels in that area, but not much.
