I've owned my 67 Belvedere II convertible for almost 24 years. Dang, I wasn't even 24 when I got her.

Well, as the years go by she sits more and more. We live down a 1/4 mile of dirt road and that's a big part of it. Plus my wife and have realized we don't care for the sun shining on us, so we only drive her when it's cloudy or at night. It's just time to move on. We both want something smaller and more modern. A GT car we can use for weekend getaways.

I feel bad for letting her go, but if we aren't going to drive her we don't need her.

If I list up all I can, can you guys help me put a value on her? Also, what forms of payment are people using these days? I just sold an old Jeep and insisted cash. I would like to think I can get a lot more for the Plymouth and not sure cash is the way to go.

Thanks...

There are a lot of sources to check on possible values on the web. Hagerty may be one. Can also see what cars like yours are going for that may be for sale. BAT I think is one source I’ve checked as they archive sales. And a bunch to consider as to condition, options, engine, etc. I’ve looked at auto trader, cars.com, etc. as I’m occasionally curious to see what cars like mine are going for..

She's a beaut! The cars I've bought recently have been cash transactions. I take my withdrawal receipts to show it's legit money from a bank. I always like having cash in the safe for stuff so that would be my choice. I've also pulled cahiers checks at a branch of my bank with the seller present. If buyer and seller have the same bank, you can do an account to account transfer. Always, ALWAYS face-to-face.

I'll be watching to see what you come up with for value.

Car looks good, but where did the wing windows disappear to?

I'm in the same row boat, been in it 45 years. Just hard to pull the trigger. See avatar.

Glass and top have not been reinstalled. Seats and door panels need upholstery. Just never got that far. Been my fair weather car.

I have commented a few times before about the need for a sub forum to help members determine a reasonable value prior to listing something for sale.
I have often had some parts that I wanted to sell but have not seen them advertised by others so I didn't know what the value was.
I don't want to sell too cheap and I don't want to look like a delusional, greedy jerk.
So far, there is no clear answer.
I understand the Moderators concern when some member posts a thread asking for a value. It sometimes leads to an un authorized sales ad in the wrong forum. I've sold cars through ebay but not many parts. Ebay isn't a real accurate barometer of value, neither are the major auction houses. They often give an inflated sales price that may have as much to do with buyer's ego at the time of auction as much as the actual value of the car.

I completely understand your statement. Sometimes life changes. I also follow the market and my thoughts are a 67 318 vert that is not finished, maybe the high side is $ 20k.Finished $25-27K . Pre 68 cars are not high dollar. Big block may bring more sorry to say. I have been into 62-65 cars and the average nice 318 car usually falls into the $10-$15K range. These are estimates. Some are lucky and find the right guy at the right time when selling.Never go by the Classic car houses as they are always way inflated.

I don't know if this helps or is relevant but I just paid $20k for the one-owner, 383 Polara vert that I posted up on the 64 only thread. Not a 67. Not a Belvedere. I'm too new to the Mopar world to suggest a value.

Also, as @Darter6 reported, I have paid from $9k to $14k for 5 other 63-66 cars including one Dodge and one vert (65 Mercury Comet Caliente (I know, I know!)). All complete, straight, running cars.

Not sure of the value. Would need to know a lot more about the state of the car - what's been done and what's still needed - and even then it's still a guess, but I tend to think that a completed, sorted car that is ready to drive away will bring more $'s than a work in progress, which yours appears to be. Not knowing what's left to finish other than the windows, top and interior that you mentioned above, you'll have to decide whether it's better to sell as-is or finish the work which largely depends on how much of the work you can do yourself.

Need a lot more info to come up with any sort of real life value.

Ive been casually shopping for a 66-67 Plymouth B body convertible. So Ive been watching for cars

A REALLY nice car will pull mid to upper 20s . It MIGHT ,,,,,key word MIGHT get 30k with the right color combo and options combination. But for me to pay that or close to it ,,,,The car has to ck ALL the boxes.
All the boxes for myself are Big block car with working air ( factory air or aftermkt makes no difference for me) in good colors, zero rust issues and NOT have black interior.
And must be a factory avail color for the year and the original color to the car. I have no real preference to the exterior color

Body work? Where? What quality?
Original engine? If not- original engine size? Current size and specs? Other drivetrain mods?
Interior mods? Suspension mods?

Simply stated, there are too many variables (see above posts ) to really offer a reasonable value. A comprehensive, detailed description would be required to get "in the ballpark" .

Yes, I understand and I'll work on getting on all the details, but just wanted to know if I could get help before I typed everything out and then it got deleted.

Sorry, and thank you!

Nothing wrong with a 65 Comet Caliente Convertible..... Sez the owner of a 65 Falcon 2Dr Wagon....

most of us would be glad to offer some thoughts, give us something to chew on

Those Elwood Engle styled fomoco cars are just now starting to get some love in the value department.

Seems like for ever no one wanted to pay anything for them.

You can clearly see the same "internal" style lines on the 66/67 Coronet/Belvedere cars among others.
