I also had to move the scoops forward about 4 inches from the normal factory location, so the 3 inch air holes would avoid the hood bracing. Nobody ever noticed.

we have a mock-up ram-air box that fits nicely into the hood frame, I had to remove a little bracing

Are those the original scoops for the 67 X? They look to have a leading edge......

This is the exact reaction we were hoping for. A sort of: Wait? Is that stock or not? The goal was to be subtle with the modifications so they look as factory like as possible.

I haven't been around very many 67 X's but don't remember seeing those scoops with a leading edge. I even looked at my pic of a factory sales brochure to try and get a good look lol

I was in no shape for an all nighter, I think it's the 3rd one in the last 7 or 8 days ........but "the list" had other ideas.......the miracle was me catching a second and third wind during the night

If my memory is correct my brother re-assembled this one from a painted shell in about 10 weeks.
But it did still have the front suspension in it.

I suppose the cheerleader deserves a full view.......here's one minus the pompoms....... she provides the exact shape that will eventually be fabbed up into an air box; not sure what material will be used, Hawk and Barry will handle it

back of her hands will seal up to the holes in the hood, and her face will be opened up to seal over the air filter..... the height dimension cannot be determined until the engine is in the car...... all things in sequence, you know the drill

when I saw the shape, I saw a cheerleader....... someone else in the group that day saw a girl with her legs in the air ; I cant remember which deviant came up with that
