Lived there from 85-94 oh the hoops I jumped through for my junk!I lived there until 1989 with my old cars. Remember having to do smog on my 66 mustang and 69 camaro. Both had the original Ca. only smog stuff on the engines too. It was ridiculous then. Even more ridiculous now.
Ignorance of reality is defined again in Ca.
OR, have all the Hollywood 1 percenters stop FLYING everywhere and telling the rest of us how to live. You want to really reduce air pollution incrementally everywhere, do away with fast food window drive thru lines, or at the least add a window surcharge, people need the exercise anyway,
The people trying to tell me how live are not in California.AND, have all theHollywood1 percenters stop FLYING everywhere and telling the rest of us how to live.
Same here.Commiefornia native, born and raised, glad I escaped!!
Well that sucks, but doesn’t surprise me. I’m not doing hoops with a special plate and insurance on my 77 Corvette, that’s trading one set of hoops for another. It will be due for a smog this summer too.
I agree, while overall I fit the typical political demographic for a Californian, not sure if saying exactly which party turns this too political or not so use your imagination, I still think I can see common sense and figure out if the leadership has other agendas. I don’t even really want my old car to be smog check exempt, I appreciate the improvement in air quality compared to when I was little. But how about they let me worry about what parts are on the car and they just worry if the part lets me pass the sniffer? Simple example is I cannot see a way that any modern engine swap like an LS would not run cleaner. Can I just put it in and get tested? Nope. Have to get it checked by a ref and certified, common sense would be throw it on the rollers at an reg smog shop every couple of years and if there is a failure I fix the issue. No extra hassle or money for a ref.Something that ALL you NON Californians ( that I know of) that live in California have shown signs of supporting the insanity that goes on here. When you bash the state, direct your insults to the government and not the state.
I don't support the BS that they have been pushing for years ANY MORE than you.
I could name at least 10-12 forum members that live in this state that share the same views as I do and that 98% of this forum does.

Personally, I don't support the BS that they have been pushing for years ANY MORE than you.
