A lot of friends and I had 55-57 chevys. (I still do). We busted up a lot of those plastic ten bolts, before we stuck something good under em.
(Hard to believe chevy used the same basic garbage rear end behind 425 horse 409 four speeds!)

I've had more rear ends grenade than I care to think about. Then I started buying these. Currie builds a great 12 bolt.

I hung this carved rootball that I found in the backyard of a rental unit that turned over last month.

It took years to find all the pieces for this, not really looking. The D and the A are one piece. It was hanging over my bar for years. Now it's just on the wall of my shop.

Funk that!!!!!
I can't give that an "agree".
I was on the edge of 80 stories the other day... no observation deck.
Walked right up to the 3.5' parapet and got some very cool over the edge type shots, the whole time thinking don't drop the phone.
I might sh*t my pants but I'd take the ride if offered.
Flying is any better if things go south?

Haven't started my 71 charger project yet really, but did get tires mounted on rims, walked over to it while on Jack stands and determined it has a 9-1/4 posi:bananadance::bananaweed::lowdown:, next I'll count rotations and determine gear ratio.

Well....I'm Posi....tive it's a 3.21:1 as it went around roughly 3-1/4 times doing the spinning test

My 79 300 (Cordoba) had a 9 1/4 3.21 rear also. The are really stout.
Today I read the water meters for our shop plaza at 5 am. My monthly job.
Gonna be a hot one today about 108 degrees.
Gotta start early of you want to get outside work done.

Never had an 8 3/4 grenade until a buddy and I ran a high 10 second car with a 4 speed in front of it back in 82 lol

75 inside the shop with the front door down and the rear door open.....and 70 under the rear carport just outside the open rear door lol. Feels too cool to be wearing shorts with both front and rear doors open!

Lucky you. Got at least 5 months of 100+ from now on.
Like they say. "There is no perfect place to live".

Usually or at least for the last few years hasn't rained this much and been this cool in the middle of June! Needed it since a lot of stuff has been trying to come back from the last several years of dry hot weather.

I had a Black Bear tear into the siding of my house last evening. Why, I don't know, but he signed his own death warrant... I'll be waiting for him.

I got around to fixing the siding on the house where the bear damaged it. Still haven't seen the bear come back yet. He normally swings by every evening, but I think he knows he messed up and wore out his welcome. I'll have a new bear skin rug if and when he does however. I have better things to do with time than waste it mixing stains and varnishes, cleaning up after a bear.

"Gotta start early"
I just heard today on the news that it is now okay to start construction projects here, as early as 5 am. (With pouring cement allowed even earlier.)
Our Saturday morning trash pickup is usually around 4.45 (AM!).
(Supposed to be 109 here today too! Only 104 at the moment.)

Edit: dumpster pickup this morning was at 4:20 am. Woke me up, dogs slept through it. At least there was no barking!

But to get back to the thread topic.....
Saw a new eye doctor today, appt arranged by my insurance company. No charge. Considering my previous eye troubles, checked out pretty good, no complaints.
Went to get new glasses, cause I could. Bought the cheapest frames available, (Daily wear, and sunglasses) insurance covered $150 toward the glasses and frames........ and I still had to put out $180.
Considering what I'm used to paying.... not a real bad deal. Pretty good.
