This weekend while I spent time with many of my fellow FBBO members at Carlisle,my wife accused me of skipping town on her and leaving her with a leaking kitchen sink and two hungry thirty something babies! Oh the humanity!

No grief here, but something always seems to break down or quit working.
This year it was a call at 10pm informing me the icemaker quit on the fridge. She managed to survive 2 days without ice cubes, it was traumatizing but she made it.
Oh btw, "someone" turned off the icemaker whilst cleaning the touchpad on the fridge.

I got lucky this year, though it didn't seem so at the time. Our supply line from the city water pipe sprung a pinhole leak at the basement wall, and it took almost two weeks without running water before we were able to get it fixed. The good part was it didn't happen during Carlisle week. Had a full week for things to get back to normal before I left. That means she was glad to be rid of me for three days.

No, the wife looks forward to it as much as I do. She can't deal with the heat well, but other than that we always have a great time with friends.

My wife has skipped town on making my supper since I returned from Carlisle and fixed the sink! She works second shift and always leaves me a plate of food for when I get home after my 12 hour day. She can call the plumber next time and pay him a grand to fix the sink!
