Actually the correct way to say it is “¿Entiendes?” That way implies the pronoun on the correct verb tense (2nd person of the present tense) for the full phrase saying “Do you understand?”

About the “shunt wire” by-pass parallel approach? No they don’t, no electrical engineer that understands this original charging system would promote adding a parallel path around the only circuit protection for the all the stock unused wiring. Do you mean phone support techs at a reproduction alternator manufacturer? They would be only concerned with not having to deal with a warranty return caused by inadequate charge path wiring or poor installation skills.

BTW, what Mr Attwood currently promotes as a “shunt wire” bypass is nothing new, has been floating around for decades before DDG. It’s a lazy conflation of the MAD Electrical approach, but leaving a original charge path in place, circumventing the original circuit protection. As for this shunt wire bypass “Making everything safe”, that would be Dead (Dodge Garage) wrong. Makes things much more dangerous.

The other parallel leg still has the fusable link in it so both legs are then protected.
I take it you haven’t heard of Kirchhoff's current divider rule as it relates to circuit protection devices wired in parallel? The presents of a fusible link in the shunt wire still exposes the stock unfused wires and components to current levels well above their ampacity in the event of a short anywhere in the stock unfused wiring, very dangerous.

BTW, most of DDG’s early videos promoting the shunt wire bypass (like the video linked in this thread) do not include any circuit protection on the shunt wire, straight wire from the alternator to the battery, some other youtubers promote large battery cables, no circuit protection at all.
