I was in a car accident back in the early 90's snapped my ankle, never healed right, I have a non-union break, basically a cartlidge like material that grew inbetween the break, so with a slight twist or a hard dismount off a bottom run ladder or similar it tears it then basically, I'm on crutches for a month. alot of people heal strike when they walk, and your feet and ankles take the pounding, if you learn to walk on your toes more it acts like a shock absorber, My doctor called it deliberate walking, changed my world, been pain free for about 10 years now. Now back to work. Great thread by the way.
