Nice little after work project, started with these armrests I bought from @tlinz

Then a little scrubbing on my antique washing machine/ workbench

And finally dye, we will see if it holds up since its just the cheap duplicolor stuff

Looks good. Duplicolor vinyl die is not bad at all. As they say , it’s all about the prep. Looks like you got that covered. Should last a long time.

I hope so, I don't have a ton of confidence in that brand but its whats available at the store up the street.

It will look nice until it rubs off from handling. It's different, but my steering wheel lasted maybe a month. So for it, I clear coated it with a 2 part clear.

I guess we’ll see, if it does last longer than that the question will be is the duplicator good or is it just I barely drive it?
Did you use a clear with a flex agent?

I use Sem brand it seems to work well.

I did or have not painted an arm rest, yet, just hard plastic pieces. Other than the steering wheel, I used matte finish clear for wheels. I did do the head rests in one of my Darts with the matte clear, but they don't get handled like an arm rest. Wait and see if yours last.
