Picked up a new wiper motor for my a body. Fits b bodies. 68.00 from oriellys. Chinese. Good quality. Only issue. Bell crank shaft is 7/16 instead 3/8. You have to enlarge the rectangle opening. Used a jigsaw and bimetal blade. Vice the bell crank, insert the blade at an angle, turn it on, slowly rotate it, move it back and forth. Will make a nice snug opening.

Wish you had a pic of what the hole looked like afterwards. Would a drill do the same thing?

From the pics it looks like the motor is smaller in diameter but I am wondering if the overall length of the motor is shorter as well? The reason I ask is I am wondering if it would clear an air grabber air cleaner instead of having to convert to a 3 speed wiper motor setup.

Did you ever get an answer to this?

No ballast resister? I got one of those motors maybe 4 years ago from Advance Auto Parts. Didn't have to alter anything.

I put a new wiper motor in my van. No mods required. 2 speed.
I would like to know how to get it to slow down for light rain.
I turn it on and off at the moment. Still working after three years. Probably Chinese, as one of the nuts is 10mm.

I do not have an air grabber, but do have a Sixpack non air grabber air cleaner. It clears this one. Where is the ballast resister?

Did it clear the air grabber ?
Bird 426. I think what he is asking is, can you use that wpm350 wiper motor with an air grabber air cleaner like the one in your avatar picture. The stock 2 speed wiper motor sticks up too high and interferes with the air grabber air cleaner.

I understood that. They would have to notch or go to a 3-speed otherwise. I am still wondering where the ballast resister is for that motor to operate correctly.
