What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Deck rusted through in a few places on the 30" mower I have at the shop.

Found a new one on ebay.
This one was $150.
All others I can find are $250.
Looks like the exact same part.

This will be a fun project.

Might rhino-liner it before I put it on.
Don't. The clippings need a smooth surface so they skate out and don't build up. Putting a liner inside will cause the clippings to build up and clog the discharge chute.

If anything, coat it regularly with Pam cooking spray.

I left home last Wednesday for Moparty and got back last night, the lawn needed mowing bad. I got that done, the rest of the afternoon will be spent working on GoPro footage from the weekend…

I've been thinking about a GoPro, mainly for shooting the concerts I mix, to put out some publicity videos (matched up with my multitrack recordings). But I have zero experience with them. Any tips or thoughts you could share?

I am just learning myself...

Today? Failed miserably on eye exam for possible Lasix solution. (Right eye in particular.) One is cataract removal needing first. And hopefully vision improves enough to even have a Lasik option.

Again, nothing sexy about getting older.

Cleaned residue off the freshly installed and grouted tile in the rental shower

Still have to do crown molding, and get one fitting for the tub spout.

Also trimmed in the walls around the doors I installed, and some other touch-up painting.

That's a good point about the slick surface.
These decks are notoriously thin gauge metal.
LOTS of online complaints of them rusting through.
Just trying to do some PM to prevent a second issue.
I'm not the best with care and cleaning of lawn equipment.
My 2002 Craftsman rider has never been washed/cleaned until last month when I actually cleaned and waxed the hood.
Fortunately It just takes the neglect and borderline abuse, just like my 2000 Dakota.

I feel your pain. I had eye surgery yesterday - it's called a Vitrectomy and they basically suck all the goop out of the inside of your eye. No flying or major altitude changes until the bubble they inserted dissolves...

Yikes! hoping for a full & speedy recovery. If you don't mind me asking, what was the symptom(s)?

I've had numerous issues starting last year. My left eye had a retinal detachment that required major surgery and a scleral band to fix. It resulted in my left eye being forced inward and cocked a bit, so I've had to get glasses with strong prisms to address that. But the vision in my left eye is still not great, so my right eye has become the dominant one. The problem is my right eye has an extremely large floater - so large that most of the time it looks like someone smeared Vaseline over a window. Most of us "mature" folks have floaters, but they are likely just a bit annoying and don't seriously impede vision. In my case, I couldn't see well with it. So this last surgery was to address the large floater. Hopefully clear vision now!

I noticed my first floater about two years ago Hawk. Fortunately mine was small and on the last exam had kind of moved out of my line of sight. Hope everything works out and you are back in commission soon.

I'm fully expecting to be sporting your one eye look in the very near future.

I've been joking with family that I'm hoping the Doc's office at least let's me keep one eye? The push is all to be able to get a real ID for end of year travel plans. And what's in the way? There is no way I will pass a DMV eye test at current state.

Drove to Georgia today and picked up a set of rims from a shady character from our site :poke:. He had a very nice charger

Just get a Passport, no eye test needed.

Started getting my trebuchet ready for the annual fall fest. I am updating the throwing arm and the pull down cable. I have tune it again when it's ready.
I have won the past two years so I know a couple guys are gunning for me and another guy backed out

Man, if you were closer I'd pit for you! I'm not aware of any competitions or festivals out here on the left coast. Please post up pics, or even better, videos (I don't care if they're vertical or horizontal).

Good luck on the threepeat!
