What the heck, man?
All these TV ads for the extended deodorant, 72 hours and such. Who the heck goes 3 or more days between baths or showers?
Yeah...If you live in a COLD climate where you don't sweat, maybe....It is below zero outside, maybe 65 degrees inside and you aren't doing jumping jacks....
If you're camping, in the Military and on duty away from running water, if you're homeless but otherwise? Three days or more?
These products are heavily advertised on the TV stations here in Northern California where it gets well over 100 in the Summer.
I don't see how a company would advertise so heavily if they didn't see a market for their product.
So who is buying this stuff? The ads talk of websites to order from, maybe so the gross bastards buying this stuff don't get called out for it at the local Target or Wal Mart.

I've been in public places where you can smell certain people... Nasty!!
I always shower before bed, most mornings after getting up & occasionally in the middle of the day if I've done dirty/gross work... And still at times I feel like I smell & want to shower...

Trying to sleep with dirty and greasy skin is uncomfortable. When I've watched TV shows like The Walking Dead I think of how terrible everything would smell. Not just the zombies but the live people too.
Years of construction had me showering every day of the week because I came home looking and feeling dirty.
I knew a guy, he was sort of chubby....He took a shower when he woke up, one after getting home from work and one before bed. That dude never stunk.
Who is buying this deodorant? Vegans? EV owners?

Imagine being single and rolling up on some chick, only to discover that she has a stench that you can actually see.

I have a old friend from 3rd grade who is kind of the off grid guy, someone from 1930 or so, can't weigh 100lbs, so cheap he cuts firewood for heat and burns the wood at smoldering stage with just enough air to get the most out of the free wood he cuts in his woods. Not sure what his schedule for washing up is but when you gotta get close to him smells like smoked cheese, and wonders why he has skin issues, don't see him much these days.

Im with Tony T, here in Ga. it's 3 times a day most all summer, of course I'm outside most all day. I had a job working in a grocery store when i was in my early teens. When I had guys come in to pick up some stuff on their way home in the afternoon, who had been out all day poring asphalt, digging ditches, working construction, you know doing what real working men do, and they smelled like it, that did not bother me at all, just guys out trying to feed their families . BUT, when folks would come in six or seven in the morning, ON their way to work who stunk, Id let em know. It's a wonder my nose has not been broken more times than it has....

You guys in the south aren't alone, anywhere in the summer it's at least twice a day, if not three. Any other time of year it's at least once a day.

In my early years on the truck, decades before the advent of electronic logs, I often ran all the miles I could stay awake. Choices were made between sleep, eating, and showers. It wasn't always possible to do all three. A 72 hour tour without a shower was a low point of the job. Daily showers, and adequate sleep are my greatest joys in retirement.

When I ran team in the early 80s, when we switched drivers, the guy going in the bunk would shower, while the guy taking the wheel would coffee up and eat. The company wouldn't tolerate bad hygiene, and that enabled me to work for that outfit the whole way through law school.

It’s not just the deodorant. I think it’s fabreeze that has a “fabric refresher” that makes it “last longer” before washing. So you have people with stank from not showering AND not washing their clothes!

When I went to grad school we had people from Nigeria and Saudi Arabia in my classes.

The guy from Saudi Arabia wore the nicest clothes, but you could smell him from 30 ft. away.

The women from Nigeria smelled a lot worse than the men from there. It was horrible.

It's no joke after class I had to take a shower because I felt dirty from being around them.

I couldn’t wait to take a shower when I was in the hospital for 2 months. I would’ve like the “sponge baths” more but the nurses weren’t like the ones that I pictured in my mind.
