Need help IDing these rods out of my 440, tearing down my motor home 440 out of my GTX due to poor engine build resulting in rod bearing failure, trying to do do this as well as I can for my first build. Thanks!

Looks like all aftermarket

Scat's logo looks nothing like the logo on those rods....
Cat's logo doesn't either...
I have no idea who's logo that is, they don't look very beefy or particularly well finished... I would probably trust a set of LY's over those particularly if a rod bearing has already spun in one of them... What size are the rod bolts?

Rods have 3/8 studs marked A1

I don't like the lack of beefiness on the big end. Good thing you are going through it I think, cheaper than fixing a failure.

Not a fan of those knurled rod bolts either. The knurling has to locate the cap. Maybe that's why it had a failure

Not CAT, (caterpillar) maybe C.A.T. (chinese, ebay specials?)
To me, brand is immaterial. If you've already had rod bearing problems with them, I'd consider them paper weights.
If you want quality Chinese rods with superior bolts and US machining, I'd look into Molnar h-beams.

When you mentioned it earlier I knew you weren't referring to Caterpillar. But there is a company called Cat Cams that sells connecting rods... Their logo looks like this... no idea why it's posting sideways..

But since you posted I took another look and there is a second Chinese company that just goes by Cat... Looks like a win...
