If you just need a couple gobs of dampener, look on EBAY for an expired cartridge, much cheaper.
Thanks for the suggestion, RJ. My next project is my hood so I figured I’d buy a cartridge. $75 on Amazon!! Yikes.

I got the gun for when I squirted the self-leveling filler on my window channels.
Continuing. I poured some a couple of cups of OSPHO into the lid and sloshed it around to cover the rusted inside:
I used my English wheel to add a bit of concave to the tail panel:
I cut the keyhole from the old panel and welded it into the replacement panel:
I'll add a bit more weld to smooth things out. Now, onto those humpy bits....

Looking good! you have a pretty well equipped shop. I am working on the hood and deck lid for my charger now too, the 200ml cartridge was just enough for the hood.
Okay, I need some help. My corners are shot and I don't know what they're supposed to look like ... and where the rubber bumper/stop goes. Could someone with a 68 Coronet take a measurement or two and/or a picture or two?
I'm trying to figure out 1) the placement of the bumper stop:
... and 2) the shape of the corner. Does it slant like the current metal? Or does it have a more pronounced curve drop like the purple line? Or even more pronounced drop curve like the yellow line?

@eldubb440 is selling his lid and I was able to look there for roughly what I needed but would still appreciate closeup pics of the corners. I couldn't stop myself from moving forward.
The indent for the bumper/stop looked about 4.5" in from the edge and was angled slightly, so I cut and bent:
Everything looks close (based on eyeballs only):
Weld up the cuts:
Grind down the welds:
I need to weld some of the pinholes and then buff it out, but I pretty pleased with the results so far. I'll finalize the bumper/stop area once I get some photos.

It's a nice feeling and you control the quality. I remember my first big deal. The cab mounts were beyond gone on my 71 D100, I took a ballpein hammer and a couple cut out pieces of hood out to my kids sandbox and had at it. I had them made in maybe half an hour (very easy piiece to make of course). I haven't stopped since and am still learning with every job it seems.
