Any idea what this hole would have been for?
70 Road Runner non ac car.

Possibly, awfully low on firewall to be added unless engine was out. Also doesn't look drilled on the inside unless someone deburred it perfectly.

If You took a broader view of the area it would be easier to inform you. Being that it appears to be near the accelerator cable hole I think r413 is correct

Thing is what would go through there in that area on a non A/C car? Nothing I can think of.
I've owned many of these 70's.

Yes close to accelerator cable hole. Similar to AMD firewall, not as large and a bit lower.

Never knew there was such a thing. I would have welded it shut when I prepped engine bay, but looked factory to me. I'll probably just put a cap plug in it now if, they make them for 1/2 holes.

the AMD picture shows a big hole in the front view, an no hole in the rear view
