Needs some fine tuning. Been sitting for a few years, so on Monday I'm going to pull the carbs and clean them, rebuild them if it needs it. One of them leaks a little. Motor could be a little crisper in my opinion, and since it's been sitting, and they are Holley carbs, I think I'm just going to do it.
She seems to really like 110, so I just mixed in 2 1/2 gal in with about 5 gal of 93 pump gas. I'm thinking I might need to run and get some lead additive.
Cant get the radio to work yet (like it even matters...lol), and the tranny has a small drip leak. Needs a good cleaning, inside, outside, underside.
And I need a line lock switch. It's bad.
But overall, really neat car. I'm likin' it alot so far.

I was told it'll do 11.20 the way it sits. I'm not so sure. In my opinion, it sits too high in the back, too low in the front, and like I said, needs some tuning. I'll take it to the 1/8 mile first and see just how straight she goes first.
nice ride!

I wish I could see your car but for some reason pics are not showing up for me. Just red X's and none of the smile's working. But you know I love 63 Plymouth's so I know I like yours. Just thought I would show you mine for an idea as I like the old SS look and went that way with my 63. It sounds like yours should run easy 11.20's by the combo once you sort it out because it is much stronger then my build and I have dipped in the 11.40's. Body color steelies and the dog dish hubcaps look really great on our cars also. Good luck which ever way you decide on. Ron

Ron! whats doing? long time!

Great ride!

Is the scoop molded to the hood, or is it a fiberglass hood also?

Nice looking car and the cowl looks solid too, even the cowl/firewall spot welds are still visible....that's a plus.

If this car came out of Florida, it should be all he said it was. I bought my race car from a friend of the guy with your car.

A friend of mine took a phone video of her the other day, and was going to have is 14 year old son load it on youtube (because niether of us 40-something college educated guys could figure out how to do it). But in a few days when I sort her out a bit I'll get some pics of a good, smokey burnout. I gotta do the carbs tomorrow, then I've got a small leak on the seam of a hand made trans fluid pan that needs a dab of weld (thus, I've gotta drain it, pull it, clean it, weld it, reinstall it, fill it), and I'd like to have it all done by our Wed. night cruise-in.

Yup, it's a Florida car, but it may have come from Missouri originally. Not 100% sure of that, though.
Yeah, the guy I got the car from has some pretty impressive Mopar stuff I'd like to get my hands on.
I'm assuming, from what I've seen, money isn't an object...

Talked to the guy I got my race car from and he told me all of his stuff is for sale. And he also told me what a great deal you got.

YEAH!!! But...68-69 Runners leaving to the Netherlands? Tell me more! I live there ;-)

Love the car! I have the welds on my 64 its a drag/street car but they seem to fit the 63/64 cars especially drag cars. torque thrust on the front and steelies on the back also look good, as does all steelies. It is what you like that matters. Enjoy it!

It was sort of strange the way it came about.
But in the end, I told him what I had, and he wired me the money. Just like that. I didn't really intend at first to sell both cars, just one. But at about the exact same time that this guy contacted me, I found out about another B Body car that the owner HAS to sell to raise some cash quick-like. And that is a car that I LOVE, and that normally I'd never in a million years be able to afford it.
So, I'm trying to put that deal together with another guy.
We'll see what happens.
Tonight, the Roadrunners are leaving. I'm waiting on the trucking company as I type this.

Yeah, he's got another car that I would about die to get my hands on, but I don't know if it's gonna happen.
This 63 is pretty nice, though....in the mean time :wtg:

did you get to Garlits........any pics and how's she running now?
We redid the carbs completely. Then tuned the car. I then did alot of nut-and-bolting and just going through it.
Still have some more to go...odds and ends stuff nothing major.
But the car is now running fantastic. Just awesome. Sounds great. Drives great. Pulls awesome.
I just need to adjust the brakes and replace the line lock valve that I think is shot.

The Garlits show was awesome. Some awesome awesome cars to see. They had a 1964 Landy car that is supposed to be the best in existance. Just awesome. (I forgot the camera...sorry)
