I just changed the fluid in my rear end a couple of days ago and it came out almost gray metallic.
From what I can find on internet, this is from metal wear and particles ending up in the fluid.
Should I be concerned?
As I get older, my eyes have a harder time seeing the timing marks on my damper.
Anyone have tricks using paint/crayons/etc. to help the tick marks stand out?
Crayons may melt with engine temp - might not be a long term solution.

I did a search but did not find a thread on this - correct me if wrong.
I noticed most of the 1/4 mile guys are running something other than a 383.
Looking to see what 383 combo's people are using and what they can do in the 1/4 mile.
Let's keep it to standard stroke (no-strokers)...

Vacuum Speed
12 inhg 40 MPH
13 inhg 50 MPH
15 inhg 60 MPH
To be honest, I very seldom drive at 60 MPH or quicker.
Suggestions on power valve sizing (6.5 currently)?
