Can anyone comment on the quality of carpet they have purchased. I'm ready to buy new carpet for my Charger, several years ago I bought carpet from a major distributor and I have not been overly impressed with its wear, if someone knows of a good manufacturer I would buy direct. Some that I have looked at sell a few different kinds including 80/20, which I thought was factory replacement. Any kelp would be appriciated.

Best I know, everyone sells the carpet made by Auto Custom Carpet (ACC). So unless there is another manufacturer, you get the same carpet as the rest of us.

I have some from Trim Parts and they seem OK.

Not sure about the ACC thing that runner mentions but Original Auto Interiors did a great job on my dodge carpet.

I don't know who Year One uses for a vendor for carpeting but I would not recommend them. 2 years after installing their black carpet, it was faded out brown on the hump. I run a vert, but still, maybe exposed with the top down 10-15% of the time. Fit was not the best either...Not impressed

They sell ACC. EVERYONE sells ACC as far as I know. And being a Year One, Legendary, and (past) ACC dealer, I think I know what I'm talking about

I second that... I got mine (for 68 Charger) from Year One and the fit is pretty poor, there are lumps and bulges all over the place and I had to trim uneven edges to fit at the doors which was lame. I am still planning on trying a hand held steamer to try to get it to settle out a bit.

I always use ACC in all my cars.I just ordered ACC carpet a few weeks ago for my 71 Road Runner.I got the new carpet the other day opened the box and it seems alot thinner carpet than it used to be,hope it still fits like it use to.

ACC is all I have ever got, but one small bit of advice!
They now have a new backing called MASS backing it is extra $$.
The carpet still has the jute padding but this MASS backing makes it really hard to form in the tight spots, and just bend in general.
I bought it for my Demon and had a bitch of a time with it, and I have done many carpets LOL.
Never again.
The story behind is it acts as a sound deadener and extra heat protection, not worth it in my eye's
