Hi -
My Superbee came with 4 of these magnum 500's. 14x6 and 14x7. They had the old Polyglass tires on them which I rook off today. The two back tires were like new with no checking cracking and full tread. My intent is to restore them if they are the real deal and have restored to put on my Superbee. They are in really good shape.

My questions are - Did Mopar use Mopar rims? These say Uni Style inside. No Mopar markings.
I also found a magic marker date written inside which I can only assume was written in when the tires were put on in 1973.

So now if they are not genuine OEM, I will use on my Coronet 440 R/T Clone and buy new aftermarket Magnum 500 rims for my SB. Any thoughts?

Nope.. Just mopar bolt pattern. No other holes. Theyve been soda blasted. The black needs put back on.

The magnum 500 was not made by any one auto manufacturer. They were aftermarket rims that Ford, Mopar, and GM all used on their cars. Just Ford and Mopar shared the same bolt pattern and both used 1/2" studs.

Aftermarket or other brand.

Mopar OEM rims are 5.5.

Date code on the one on the left looks like M4/3 making it a 73

Where are you getting that from? All Mopar car rims were 5x4.5" bolt pattern all the way into the early 80's. Only the trucks used a 5x5.5" bolt pattern. Mopar, AMC and Ford used the same 5x4.5" bolt pattern and GM used a 5x4.75" bolt pattern.

These rims were never OEM to any of the big 3, they were aftermarket rims that they put on there cars, period!

On that we agree. I should have added the word 'wide'. Rims on a Super Bee would have been 5.5 wide not 14x6 or 14x7

Ya sorry about that part. I figured out what you meant by the 5.5 after I had already posted my response.
