best stuff to soak bores with?

Marvels mystery oil, diesel fuel(Nasty offroad stuff if you can get it), used motor oil or Creep if you can find it. Rock it back and forth, not just one way. Best way would be to pull heads for cleanup. I have seen a chunk of carbon lock up a motor too so you may want to pull the valve covers to make sure its not a valve hanging up.

PB Blaster, or liquid wrench foaming penetrant. Take out plugs and get a good pool going in all cylinders so it completely submerges all rings. I would try that for a few weeks, then as mentioned remove heads. It may be too far gone though. I had a 383 before that was seized, we soaked the bores for a week. Even with a big pry bar and a sledge from underneath we only got 2 pistons out.

Use some "Kroil" in all of the bores and let it sit for 24 hours. put some floodlights on the block to heat it gently, but try to get it around 150 degrees. Anything to Expand the bores. Don't use a torch! It should

break it loose.

Coca Cola

Ive seen that work on old rusted bolts, not sure If I would put it in a engine though.

If you can get access to a water heater drain the cooling system and flood it with hot water from the water heater (connect it through the heater hose) to warm the block up as suggested.
