So F#'n Tired of WINTER!!!! 2014

They look like my kids when they were that age.

Not as bad on the west side of Pa. but enough is enough!!! I ran out of room to pile snow about 2 weeks ago. We got 5" to 6" Thursday another 3" to 4" today and more to come tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a warm up they're calling for next week. P.S. everyone is running out of road salt over here too.

Can't wait for it to start melting and backing up into my house!

Sorry to disappoint Prop. I just called it that because I was driving my Tacoma pick-up.

Scroll over your pic above NJRR, and pops up Taco Snow. Long story? Good Story?

Yeah, there's going to be some serious flooding all over if it melts fast and the ground is still frozen. If you think you will need to use a pump, make sure you get one ahead of time. There will probably be a shortage and a run on them.

Can't wait for it to start melting and backing up into my house!

No problem with that. I'm worried about the ice damming on the roof.

Yeah, I hear that. A few miles from my house, the roof of a Shop-rite Supermarket collapsed from the weight of the snow.

I just checked NOAA, were in for another 12" - 20" inches of that white stuff tonight into tomorrow am. I think tired of winter may be an understatement.

However, after plowing, shoveling and digging out, I'm headed to camp to do the same there and then spend the next two nights there snowshoeing and drinking. Not necessarily in that order! :th_krazy::th_krazy:

"Vancouver Blizzard 2014"

Day 2 - Vancouver Blizzard 2014 - Revenge of the Commuters

Chilled Vancouver commuters faced their second day of winter hell today,
as an additional ¼ centimeter of the peculiar white stuff fell, bringing
the lower mainland to its knees and causing millions of dollars worth of
damage to the marijuana crops. Scientists suspect that the substance is
some form of frozen water particles and experts from Saskatchewan are
being flown in. With temperatures dipping to the almost but not quite
near freezing mark, Vancouverites were warned to double insulate their lattes
before venturing out.

Vancouver police recommended that people stay inside except for
emergencies, such as running out of espresso or biscotti to see them
through Vancouver's most terrible storm to date. The local Canadian Tire
reported that they had completely sold out of fur-lined sandals.

Drivers were cautioned to put their convertible tops up, and several have
been shocked to learn that their SUV's actually have four wheel drive,
although most have no idea how to use it.

Weary commuters faced soggy sushi, and the threat of frozen breast
implants. Although Dr. John Blatherwick, of the Coastal Health Authority
reassured everyone that most breast implants were perfectly safe to 25
below, down-filled bras are flying off the shelves at Mountain Equipment
Co-op.
"The government has to do something," snarled an angry Trevor Warburton. "I
didn't pay $740,000 for my one bedroom condo so I could sit around and be
treated like someone from Toronto."

Now that's funny...

:rolling:The dog is doing a better job shoveling than my daughter does!

Ive had it took a nasty spill last week and now wife has taken a spill on ice getting another 4-6 inches tonight :angryfire: cant even get to garage (my sanctuary )

Ouch Pat!!!!!

Were getting snow this morning AGAIN!
Damn it,,, I have work to get done on my car!!!! I hate heating the garage up to a comfortable temp, just to much waste of fuel oil working for a few hours..... Even then the floor and all of the car parts are still like handling blocks of dry ice! Hands and fingers get sore,,,, Worried about tightening fasteners that are cold soaked at -12F and wondering how they will be come summer time when they warm back up.....
This winter just sucks!!!!!

Well, yesterdays storm has done it....My 3 year old snapper snowblower is kaputt....Working great cleaning up about 6’ of snow & a big bang & no start... The funny thing, the place were I purchase it from went out of business a 2 months ago.......So does this mean no more snow..........

Time for a new snapper?

It did work great for the past 3 years...But unknown to me a slight problem with the oil plugs located on the side the Briggs & Stratton engine(made out of plastic).... It seems while I was using it late in the evening. One had back fallen out, losing oil & water entering the engine, causing a failure...I found numerous complaints online with the same problem...... I have 18yr old Toro snowblower going again but its slow & small for the snows we are getting........Not sure if I will replace engine or buy.
