N96 trouble

i have this 70 rr with n 96 option but it doesn't work. any help is appreciated as I just got this and have no idea where to start. Thanx mopar lovers
 
Start at the beginning, here is a couple of diagrams for you

Make sure all the hoses are connected and that they aren't cracked.
 
And be aware that the air grabber system is 100% vacuum operated. There are no electrical components involved.

That's not quite right, there is a solenoid near the switch under the dash that is hooked up to the ignition side of the fuse box.
When it's energized the system holds vacuum, when you turn the key off it opens a valve and bleeds off vacuum and the hood door closes.
