Does the booster and master need to change if I go to disk brakes on the front?
Don't want to change it if I don't need to.

Master yes, booster no.
 
And the proportioning valve has to be changed too.... if you don't already have a vendor, Cass at Dr. Diff can set you up.

I have the booster on the car so might as well keep it place..lots of options and prices out there.

No necessarily. Depends on bore size, caliper piston size, etc. Most likely yes, but very possibly no. Switch to the discs and try it out. You don't like the results (testing slow speed to begin with), you can change the master cylinder. Proportioning valve though should be changed.
