Question? Hoe does this keep you from buying a tire that is too tall once the suspension has the weight of the car setting on it? Say you decide that a 28 inch tire is ok and then you mount it up and set the car on the ground and the tire is smashed into the wheel well. What am i missing?

Put the jack stands under the axle

set the axle on a wheel stand so it is loaded. dooh classic mistake should have read everones post.... wish there was the delete option

I have a Percys wheelwright and they are pretty flimsy but you have to make sure you hold everything parallel and perpendicular as they flex easily. they work but I'm not impressed with it, I guess its worth having though if one is shooting in the dark so to speak. Bought mine here on fbbo for 35 bucks.
