Yep. My Mom's 83. Her Dad, Grandpa Jackson, and one of his brothers walked several miles into town to buy their first car one morning. They bought a used Ford Model A, if I recall correctly. Mom said it took twice as long to drive home because the country roads were so rutted the car kept getting the tires caught in them making it hard to go around obstacles and even to turn off onto another road. It also didn't help that neither of them knew how to drive.
