I got this as a spare carb and intake that came with the Town & Country wagon I bought. The owner told me it was either a 950 or 1050, but I can't find any casted or printed numbers or marks on it anywhere.

Anyone seen one like this before?

looks like a thermoquad number should be stamped front face driver side in throttle plate

Carter Thermoquad. They have their own unique issues but once sorted out can be very good. The small ones were in the 750 cfm range, large ones are in the 850 cfm range. There was also an aftermarket 1000 cfm competition series as well. But based on the linkage on yours it looks like a factory carburetor.

I have one that the original owner said came off a police package b body and clamed it was 950 cfms but he called the 1000 cfm carb.

There is a thermo-quad 'sticky' in the General Tech section. you might want to take a look at that.

Model number is on the back of the base plate on the throttle side.

That is NOT one of the 1000 cfm TQ carbs.
The TQ came in 2 sizes as stated earlier. Commonly called a 800 or 850. Regardless of the actual cfm rating, the difference is in the primary size butterflies.

IF you have the 1.5 inch primary sized butterflies, it is the large one.

The 1000 "Race carbs" have angled is screws unlike your striaght idle screws.

That person you got the carb from has no F'in idea what he is talking about.
