I am excited. My buddy and I are coming to the Carlisle show in April! It will be my first time there and I cannot wait. My wife and I have friends there from when she went to high school there and they want us to stay with them. So, any tips for maximum enjoyment at the show and swap would be welcome..

Take your rain gear and bring your worst mud boots. You might want to make an appointment with a local masseuse to get your legs massaged after miles of walking.

Personally, I'd wait until the big Mopar show in July.

If you wait for the mopar show, bring lots of sun screen, water and good walking shoes.

Your wasting your time if you are after Mopar stuff.
All of the rows are paved, there is very little mud ever. Been going there since 1974.

Well, unlike these guys, I'm excited for ya! I generally keep it simple when I go. I park at Hamilton Elementary School which is on Clay Street. It's right next to the swap meet portion of the show, so it's a short haul for parts plus if it's hot out, there are tons of shady spots to park. Also, the money goes right to the school system, which in my view is a good thing. Other than that, I like to go to the diner right across the street if I'm with a group, but generally I just enjoy the fairgrounds food, which is typical north east stuff - Italian sausage and pepper sandwiches, etc, plus some pretty good southern BBQ.

True there's not much mopar specific stuff, but plenty of deals on general automotive stuff. Besides, it'll leave ya wanting more, so you'll definitely want to come back for mopar week.

Thanks, we are looking for MOPAR stuff but not only that. Looking at the cars too, might see something custom I haven't seen before. My friend Rick is one of those guys that looks at EVERY last thing at the swap meet, into EVERY box, under EVERY pile of stuff. Makes me crazy. He will stroll through the show car lines and not really look at them close, and I look at all of them close. Other than that we get along fine...lol. We will go to the MOPAR show too.
