So i jacked up the car on the driver's side and snapped a few pics. Not sure if this is clean enough to tell where its leaking from and now i can get the new carb to let in fuel since it ran out of gas so i need to spray some cleaner in it

Don't spray liquid to clean it, take a toothbrush or soft brush and dry it off with a clean rag. If the seal is leaking, anything that you spray will seep into the trans through the worn out seal.

If he does spray it, the amount that might get in there will be minimal. Even if it does get in there, it should be picked up by the filter before it goes to anything else.

Get Castrol Super clean in the purple gallon jug. You must have a spray bottle around like windex or something like that. Jack up the front of the car somewhere you can use the garden hose.Spray the daylights out of that trans with Super clean and let it soak. You will notice the majority of that muck will roll off with just the spray. DO NOT let the superclean dry, after a little while hit it with the water nozzle and most if not all of that muck will be gone.Do it COLD so the superclean does not dry too fast.
You will be happy with the results. Works great on engines too.NOTE<<<<<it will stain anadised fittings:thumbsup:

That's why I used a couple cabs of brake cleaner spray.

1 can of brakecleen is what, about $6,you'll need at least 3 from what I see. I gallon of superclean will clean the trans and engine compartment with a little left over.
Can you tell I love that stuff??,,,,,,,,,,,,,,LOL

I've gotten it for 2 for $5 at Advance recently. :) And it dries instantly too !
